Filament is a captivating aerial installation set to take place with a backdrop of the Wellington Harbour and the night sky. Glowing bright and warm, filament illuminates everything it touches, and within its spiral coils is a human form.

Performed on the Hikitia, Wellington’s iconic floating crane ship, this large scale aerial spiral is embedded with LED lighting and was originally created for HighLight Festival 2019.

Accompanied by the music of MOTTE: Motte is the solo project of Lyttelton-based violinist and composer, Anita Clark. Riding the thin line between beauty and devastation, Motte weaves together a richly textured world with a violin, delay pedal, sampled sound and voice. Creating a world solely her own, the sound is modern classical, ambient, alt/experimental pop and improvised noise.
